14th Annual DVF Awards

Another special year in #Venice for the 14th Annual #DVFAwards- a night of honoring women leaders in partnership with Vital Voices Global Partnership. To open the evening DVF (Diane von Furstenberg) offered a message of hope for #Afghanwomen recognizing the two year anniversary since the US withdraw from Afghanistan.

Honorees for the evening included, Dr. Joy Buolamwini, also known as the Poet of code, Helena Siren Gualinga a 21-year-old environmental and human rights defender, international human rights lawyer, activist and speaker Amal Clooney, Amina Mohammed United Nations Deputy Secretary General and comedian, activist Lilly Singh

Night also included performance from Jewel and opening remarks with Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi and Alyse Nelson who reminded us that supporting women leaders is about showing up on the good days and the bad days. #womenlead #investinwomen #improvetheworld
