National Security Balanced with Transparency

Back in studio with Dave Spencer and Kurt Bardella for another "PracticallyPolitical" episode.

We tackled the recent U.S. military strikes on Iran.

Honestly? I don't believe most of what we're being told.

That's not cynicism. That's national security reality.

After 9/11, I knew about terrorist cells operating on the East Coast. The public thought something different. And that was good.

Americans didn't need to know there were six active terrorist cells trying to kill us daily.

It would have created panic. People taking matters into their own hands and disrupting operations.

The government has a responsibility to manage information strategically.

But here's the problem: This administration has zero credibility when it comes to telling the truth.

We need strategic information management for legitimate security reasons. But we can't trust the messengers.

The public deserves honesty about what affects their daily lives. They don't need operational details that could compromise missions.

Finding that balance? That's responsible governance.

Something we're clearly struggling with right now.
